I find immense excitement in uncovering the endless benefits of eating fruits, vegetables, grains, herbs, nuts, and seeds. As a clinician, I love sharing this knowledge to inspire healthier meal choices, but I also want to reach a larger audience. While the message to eat more greens is already out there, perhaps my approach—focusing on why we should eat better and that it can be fun—will be the key to helping more people make the change.
Do you celebrate Christmas? I do. I believe in Christ. I also believe in the power of prayer. God wants us to be healthy and has given us everything we need. Our hearts can turn towards God anywhere, anytime. Why not in the grocery store and kitchen? At meals and during snacks? My favorite place is at a farmers market! Choose food God has created. Turn away from foods filled with added fat, salt, sugar, and especially processed food. It is the right thing to do.
With over 25 years of experience working with patients, I’ve come to deeply appreciate the power of gratitude. So much in my own life has transformed simply by giving thanks. I became consciously aware that reasoning, outlook, and overall health improve when we focus on the positive, after reading The Secret by Rhonda Byrne.
